The Gregory Lander Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the memory of Gregory Lander, a dedicated member of the Upland High community from 2003 until 2023. During his time at Upland High, Mr. Lander taught Chemistry, coached Basketball, advised the ASB Leadership, was the UHS Activities Director, and served as the President of the Upland Teachers Association. Each year this scholarship will be awarded to a promising Upland High senior to assist with the costs of attending the 4-year college of their choice.
In order to be eligible, applicants need to be an Upland High School senior and shall meet one or more of the following qualifications:
- During their time at UHS, the student has demonstrated a meaningful contribution to the Upland High School community including participation in school activities, athletics, clubs, or organizations.
- Student plans to pursue a career in Education, Math, or the Sciences.
Students who wish to be eligible for the Greg Lander Memorial Scholarship must fill out the Senior Awards and Scholarships application, available on the UHS scholarship website in March.
